Cataracts are extremely common and a natural part of ageing. Cataracts can't be prevented but can be easily removed and treated with surgery.
Consult with a doctor to know about your eye conditions.
Cataract surgery is the process of replacing your eye's cataract-affected blurred lens with an artificial lens (IOL).
Cataracts occur when the lens in your eye becomes cloudy from natural proteins that build up over time. As the condition progresses, the cataract affected lens allows less light to pass through your eye and your vision becomes blurred. Through surgery, the clouded lens is replaced with a clear artificial lens. The surgery can provide clear vision to see up close, intermediate and at distance and help free you from eyeglasses depending on your lens selection. Cataract surgery is a safe and simple procedure which takes only a few minutes.
